Healthy Baked - Gold Coin Falafal

Ingredients:


Chickpeas - 115 oz / 1 can

Onion - 1 small or 1/4 cup

Fresh Garlic - 3 cloves

Parsley - 1/2 cup

Cilantro - 1 tbs

Roasted Cumin powder - 1tsp

Lemon - 2 tbs

Oil - 1 tbs

Cayenne - 1 tsp

Baking soda - 1/2 tsp

Oat Flour / APP - 3 tbsp

Salt as per taste


Procedure:


* In a food processor, grind all the above ingredients (except baking soda and oat flour) into a homogeneous mixture

* Place the mixture in a bowl

* Add to the mixture, baking soda and oat flour / APP to bind (add more if needed)

* Mix everything well

* Shape them into medium sized coins (or flat cylinder), leaving some space place them in the baking tray

* Brush all of them with some oil

* Bake them for 10 minutes on each side at 180 degree celsius or deep fry till golden brown

* Ready to serve with Tahini sauce, salad and roasted eggplant.


**If you are using canned chickpea or soaked and cooked at home, please drain all the liquid.
