Out of bread during this pandemic? why don't you make your own bread!

Ingredients:


1 packet - Active dry yeast = 11 grams

1 cup - Warm water = 250 ml ( 100 - 110 degree celsius)

1/4 cup - Sugar = 4 tbs

1 tsp - Salt

1 - Large egg

2 tbsp - Oil

3 cup - All purpose flour

1/2 cup - Whole wheat flour

Preparation:


* In a large bowl dissolve the yeast in warm water

* Add sugar, salt, egg, oil and 2 cups of flour , beat on medium speed and start adding the rest of the flour to form a dough

* Knead it for 5 - 7 minutes to get a soft dough

* Grease the bowl, place the dough inside and cover it.

* Let it rest for 1 hour

* After an hour, punch the dough and roll it into a rectangle

* Fold it tightly inwards and place it in the greased baking pan

* Cover and let it rest for another 1 hour

* Preheat the oven to 180 degree celsius

* Bake until golden brown , 25 - 30 minutes

* Remove the bread from the pan onto a wire rack to cool

* Finally, cover it with a kitchen towel



Your bread is ready to be sliced and served with butter and jam
