Turn your Kitchen into a Bakery - Dinner Rolls

Ingredients:


All purpose flour - 500 grams + 250 gram (extra for kneading)

Water - 300 ml

Fresh Yeast - 15 grams

Sugar - 25 grams

Salt - 10 grams

Vegetable Oil - 25 ml + extra 25 ml

Soft unsalted Butter - 10 ml


Procedure:


* In a bowl activate the yeast by combining it with water and sugar

* Mix till sugar dissolves completely

* Add 25ml oil and salt to the above mixture and mix again for a minute

* Gradually add flour and start kneading

* The dough will be a bit soggy

* Add 2 tbs of flour and knead again

* Repeat the previous step 3 times

* Finally add the butter and knead it

* Transfer it to another bowl with 2 tbs of oil

* Fold it inwards and coat the dough with some oil

* Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes

* Dust some flour on the counter and knead the dough for few minutes

* Add some flour and knead again

* Grease the kitchen counter and tap the dough few times

* Divide the dough into 8 or 10 portions

* With the help of oil, start rolling them inwards to form a soft ball

* Place them in the baking tray, leaving some space in-between

* Brush some oil on the balls

* Cover and let them rest for 45 minutes

* Brush some oil again on the balls before baking, if you find that it is dry

* Preheat the oven and place the tray into the oven at 200 degree celsius for 10 -12 minutes or until golden brown

* Remove them from the tray, cover them with a kitchen towel and let them cool for 10 minutes

* The delicious, soft and fluffy, home made Dinner rolls or Ladi Pav is ready to serve.
