Walk down towards the rosy path - Gulab Jamun Bundt Cake


Ingredients:


All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup

Milk powder - 1/2 cup

Butter unsalted - 1 cup

Sugar - 1 cup

Cardamon powder - 3/4 tsp

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp

Egg - 4 Medium size


Rose and sugar syrup


Water - 1 cup

Sugar - 1 cup

Whole cardamom - 8 - 10

Saffron strings - Few

Cinnamon stick - 1 stick

Rose water - 1 tsp

Lemon juice - 2tsp


Procedure for Syrup:


* Take a pan and boil the water and sugar for 10 minutes

* Add cardamom, cinnamon stick, saffron

* Let it simmer for another 10 minutes

* Remove for the flame, add lemon juice and rose water

* Let it cool

* Divide this syrup into two portion - 70 / 30 percent

* 70 percent pour over the cake, while it comes out of the oven and is still hot

* 30 percent pour while serving and garnish it with some rose petals


Procedure for the Cake:


* In a mixing bowl add flour, milk powder, cardamom powder and salt

* Mix well and keep aside

* In another mixing bowl beat butter and sugar for few minutes

* Add vanilla extract and beat again

* Add 1 egg at a time and beat

* Once all the eggs are added gradually mix all the flour mixture

* Pour it in a baking bowl

* Place it in the oven for 30 minute at 165 degree celsius and then for another 10 minutes to get the golden brown colour

* Remove from the oven and poke some holes

* Pour in the 70 percent of rose and sugar syrup over the cake

* Let it rest for half an hour

*Remove it in the serving tray n sprinkle some icing sugar and garnish with some rose petals and syrup


The delicious Gulab Jamun Bundt Cake is ready to enjoy as a dessert with / without ice cream.
